    Eat this…

    Not that.

Yes, another great moment in public diplomacy. We congratulate the public diplomacists at the Department of State for changing minds and winning hearts with their wicked Tweeting. Seriously dudes, who is that lame ass Tweet intended to persuade?

    I mean, besides your boss.

The State Department really is very boss-centric. The place seems to be set up to encourage people to fabricate and deceive others into believing that they are indispensable. Take for example this phony propaganda blog (http://blogs.america.gov/mgck/) from the Bureau of International Information Programs which must first be pre-approved by members of the Chinese Communist Party who run media organizations in China. This blog is really meant to boost page hits so that the IIP director running this farce can show his boss at the State Department just how special he is at winning the hearts and minds of the Chinese people. Now where have we seen this charade before? It may not be quite as dramatic as Iraq, but the principle is the same.
