• On al Jazeera Speaking about Third Party Candidates

I spent some time on al Jazeera television this week, speaking about the importance of third party presidential candidates.

Too many important issues– climate change, defense spending, drone wars– are either not discussed at all by the mainstream candidates, or are brushed off the debate table with muttered agreement. Third Party candidates serve to bring those issues into the conversation.

Unfortunately, these candidates get little-to-no mainline media coverage, and their debate was limited to C-Span and alternative outlets like al Jazeera.

Good luck, of course, finding sources like al Jazeera on your local cable provider. You can, however, watch it online for another view of the day’s events.

You are under the delusion a Third Party would make a difference in a country that is not run by political parties.

Speaking of delusions, geezer Johnny McCain blames Colin Powell for getting US into the Iraq War. http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/331749/mccain-powell-got-us-iraq-robert-costa

Perfect. THAT is why the ‘merican voter doesn’t know diddley squat. The campaigns are a fucking lie. And people like this sub human cockroach make it so.

Once someone is “moderated” once they should be able to post comments directly. Every once in awhile WordPress gets confused and requires me to “remoderate.” I try and keep up on this but occasionally take time out to shower, etc. I have not banned anyone since starting this blog in April 2011 and hope never to do so.

Also, WordPress does a pretty good job of screening out Spam (over 46k Spam comments so far!) but every once in awhile a good one gets caught in the filter. I try and scan the spam intake to make sure this does not happen.

Bauer: I agree and also sense that both wings of our single party system would discreetly coalesce behind just one wing if threatened by a legitimate third party. Both have learned how to share the spoils with the clever ruse that they are opposites periodically fighting for control.

      1. Any leader of a Third Party who would pose a threat would get the honeypot treatment to discredit him/her.

      2. Speaking of a clever ruse, are we to believe our intelligence agencies were so incompetent that a bunch of losers with box cutters evaded detection, precipitating the grossest violation of our privacy under the guise of a “patriotic” act? Incompetence doesn’t explain the lies of the intelligence reports in the Iraqi WMDs or the Anthrax letters which were also instrumental in creating this police state.

Barack should keep Gitmo open just so we have a place to send all these “patriots.”

If memory serves, they were holding third-party debate in Chicago last Tuesday. I wonder how many TV networks (apart from Russia Today) were providing media coverage? For example, many of my fellow Russians are not even aware of the fact that there are more than two political parties in USA.

Bauer: I too feel the official 9/11 attack dynamics might be interpreted quite differently by future objective historians. But this view is from someone who feels that Oswald was supposed only to cripple a fender runner, take out a tail light but not kill actually kill JFK. It was paid for by a few parties to send a message that JFK needed to be a team player and went terribly wrong. No I’m not wearing a tin foil hat!

Of course, any Third Party candidate who fell into a honeypot should be considered unqualified for office for not knowing or caring his communications were recorded 24/7. That’s what amazes me about people like Spitzer and Ritter, who were considered enemies of Wall Street and State – not that there’s a difference.
