The Department just recently “hired,” if you can use that term, it’s unpaid interns for 2013. Some think it’s a prestigious foot in the door to a Foreign Affairs career. I know for a fact that the daughter of the Consular affairs Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary is one of the “lucky” selectees.
Yesterday, they came out with a “Department Notice” warning that nepotism is illegal.
You can’t make this shit up!!
I hear that if one could make a list of the people selected as interns, you would see more than a couple other familar Department surnames on that list.
Fortunately, Pat Kennedy and his heious wife chose to forego reproduction, otherwise that particular surname would grace the list.
