So who does TSA pull out of line for advanced screening at the airport yesterday in front of me?

    Some brown guy.

Fun Brain Teaser: The FBI, et al, would say that because they have harassed the Browns, set up fake stings and taken away their shampoo at the airport, we have in fact been kept safe, hence the results above. So, if the FBI and the gang turn their attention to harassing EVERYONE, we’ll truly be safe, right?

Let US not forget those people who destroyed US – the white guys on Wall Street and their whores in Congress.

In defense of the TSA 😉 I’m a white guy who was once selected for an “enhanced security screening,” or whatever the hell it’s called. The guy asked me why I was late; I want to tell him about the bumper sticker – SHIT HAPPENS – but didn’t want to miss my flight. (I wasn’t doing anything naughty – really.) He also looked through some of my photos and asked if one was a picture of my daughter. (It was my wife – the age difference isn’t THAT great and I don’t look THAT old.) In case there are any TSA folks reading this, that’s a no-no. Ask your supervisor. I did. A lot (not all) of them are pathetic little shits with a god complex. The TSA is one of the simple pleasures of returning to ze homeland.

      “Some brown guy.”

Peter, I see your point, however “some brown guy” with an Arabic-African name is the President of the United States. So I don’t really think “racial” profiling is the main problem behind the overall lunacy of the TSA.

However, and somewhat related to your post, my best friend of over 30 years is a Doctor at one of America’s top university hospitals, and is the son of Italian immigrants including his Neapolitan mother from a region with rather dark skin due to Naples’ proximity to Africa. And of course he’s a Catholic as most Italians are. But on more than one occasion in recent years, HE has been stopped by the TSA on domestic flights, due to his skin which is about as dark as Obama’s.

PS, however I do agree that “racial” AND (uninformed) “religous” profiling IS one of the stupidities of America’s chicken-with-its-head-off reaction to 9-11, so here’s an anecdote obliquely resembling yours:

Although I’ve spent most of my adult life outside of America, I was in America in autumn of 2001, during and immediately after the Sept 11 events. And during the weeks after Sept 11 2001, I was staying with a friend in a major American city – PVB will know it as the city where I went to university long before then – and I often went for lunch at a SIKH restaurant in the center of that city, for their 5 dollar lunch buffet…

…and the Sikhs who ran that restaurant, wore American flags as their turbans, for their own protection, because they knew that 99.99999 percent of Americans didn’t know the difference between a Sikh and a Muslim.

PPS, but then I can also remember an example of how a VERY WHITE woman was subjected to irrational “security” concerns after Sep 11:

During that autumn of 2001 when I spent some time back in my native country – back in the city where I went to university etc – I visited an antique dealer (I had known several there in my youth), a very White woman, not just White but of OLD COLONIAL ANGLO-AMERICAN FAMILY! Like just a few decades after the Mayflower, her ancestors came to our colony in the late 1600s. And she lamented to me – in October 2001 – how she was not able to transport some antiques from one of her shops to the other one (both in the same city), without showing the moving company FOUR kinds of photo ID!

Then I laughed bitterly in front of her and I said, “But the only people who have five kinds of photo ID, ARE TERRORISTS!” And she laughed with me about that, laughing bitterly about what our native and ancestral country had become.

Yeah, but Obomber doesn’t have to go the TSA route.
On the other hand, pregnant women with concerns about their breast milk in bottles do have to deal with these pathetic little shits with a god complex, massive understatements notwithstanding.

ps..sorry, I forgot the “quote” things around meloveconsullongtime’s statement.

PVB’s subject matter aside, in view of the absurd “real time” coverage of the “manhunt” for the suspects, I’ve been pondering something the last couple of days that I can’t seem to reconcile, at least by searching on the net. There appears to be some very serious
discrepancies between various statements made by law enforcement personnel and media personnel. The first one I was aware of was the issue of the “7/11 robbery”, of which has now been debunked. However, the debacle that ensued during the “pursuit” of said suspects in what has been claimed as a “carjacked” Mercedes SUV is rather weird..at least when juxtapositioned against other documented information. To wit..
During the period that law enforcement had surrounded the boat that the 2nd suspect had managed to hide in, I was listening to the live coverage by NPR. Interspersed in between the live gunfire and reporting by various parties at the scene, NPR played a few recordings of interviews with people who knew the suspect, of which they played a short interview with some person who claimed that he owned an auto repair shop, and in fact, had the 2nd suspect’s Mercedes SUV IN HIS SHOP for repairs, when said suspect came in at some unnamed time within the bombing timeline. Here is what he said..from NPR’s Timeline.
quote:” It would be another two days before pictures of the suspects, 19-year-old Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev and his brother, 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev, would emerge. But already the younger of the two appears nervous. The owner of an auto body shop near the brothers’ Cambridge home later recalled a visit from Dzhokhar on Tuesday.

Gilberto Junior said the usually easygoing teen often stopped by to talk cars and soccer. But on Tuesday, he was biting his nails and trembling. The mechanic told Dzhokhar he hadn’t had a chance to work on a Mercedes the teen had dropped off for bumper work. “I don’t care. I don’t care. I need the car right now,” Junior says Dzhokhar told him.” unquote
So, younger Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, comes to pick up his Mercedes SUV.
Later in the NPR timeline, this appears…
quote:”Reports of an armed carjacking in Cambridge. Police say the suspects commandeered a Mercedes SUV, and later released the owner unharmed at a gas station. Police searching for the SUV follow it to Watertown.”unquote
      http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=178207666
Ok, let me get this straight. Suspects have Mercedes SUV, but mysteriously abandon it only to hijack another one..sit with the owner for a half hour..and then release him unharmed. right. And then, at some point decide to leave only to be spotted by some law enforcement dudes, who pursue them and claim later, suspects threw explosives out the window, and are later stopped..where older suspect is killed in a blazing gun shootout..whereby..the younger suspect attempts to run over law enforcement, but according to them, he runs over his brother…and then..miraculously escapes..on foot. hmmmmmm..something is amiss here..seriously amiss. Not to mention the mother’s contention that the FBI set them up, had been visiting them over the last few years them and even interviewed her. right. ok..ummmmm….really?????

      I smell a rat.

Given the FBI’s track record of terrorist entrapment bungles, the possibility the bombers were in contact with the FBI, sadly, cannot be dismissed.

What can be dismissed is the MSM’s complaining about the danger of false reports from the Reddit community. Surely, they have not forgotten their false reporting role in the Iraq War propaganda.

And we really need to address what it going on for these white men, usually between the ages of 16-25.

Is our insane foreign endeavor somehow impacting upon this population, and for some reason the present recourse is towards acts of indiscriminate, spectacular violence. If we could get u-n-p.c. enough, we might actually find some origins of the angst.

“I am starting to smell a Fast and Furious rat. By that I do not mean, repeat, do not mean that the FBI or any other US agency sent the Boston bros out to bomb the marathon. On the basis of just experience, and I emphasize that I have no direct knowledge of this case, I am starting to suspect that the older murderer had been recruited by the FBI to infiltrate Islamist cells. Little bits of information that are coming out are starting to convince me of that:

–The mystery of how the brothers got visas. On what basis were they admitted?

–The Russians warned us about the older pig, but we “ignored” it.

–That older assassin traveled to Russia and stayed there for six months. How did he pay for that? Was it just welfare money, or was there other government money involved? Did anybody interview him after he returned? The dirtbag mother claims that the FBI talked to big boy several times: might she be telling the truth here? Did the Russians provide us any information on his activities in Russia?

–The quickness with which the murderers were identified indicates to me, at least, that the FBI had their pictures in the system, and that some FBI agent might have had an “OMG!” moment when the killers’ faces emerged. I can imagine that conversation, “Hey Harry. Isn’t that the guy you recruited? You know, that Dagestani or whatever guy in Watertown, sure looks like him.”

As I said above, I have no hard evidence for what I am writing. I am speculating, but doing so on the basis of many years of working on drug and terror-related issues. This has many of the features of a recruitment gone bad; of the FBI getting played by a psychopathic true believer. This might be a useful line of inquiry . . . you know, for the same people who cleared up Fast and Furious and Benghazi.
