At an April 30 briefing regarding press reports that the State Department is seeking to intimidate or punish employees planning on blowing the whistle on Department incompetence surrounding the deaths at the Benghazi Consulate, deputy spokesman Patrick Ventrell said:The State Department would never tolerate or sanction retaliation against whistleblowers on any issue, including this one. That’s an obligation we take very seriously.
To which I reply: Poppycock.
State retaliated against my whistleblowing with all the joy and energy of a dog rolling in its own poop. Have a look here, or here to start.

Y’know, that was my very response once to a now dearly-departed friend when he mentioned the duo, and he chastened me by saying their “Do That to Me One More Time” was a beautiful and heartfelt song. It was certainly a much finer effort and no doubt atones for the muskrat thing.
She was from Alabama, so I suppose some understanding is in order. (I much prefer capybaras, though.)
