• Waiting on Putin, The Dream Candidate

It’s interesting that accusations that Putin is trying to swing the election to Trump peaked, for now, in the midst of the Democratic Convention, and distracted nicely from what was revealed in the hacked emails. Hmmm.

Putin was then ushered off stage, to be replaced by the Wrath of Khan and their son, who died in Iraq 12 years ago. I wonder now when Putin will be brought back. He will of course be brought back, being far too good a bad guy to waste in this most obscene of elections.

Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, there was no global enemy for America to face down. No big nasty to spur weapons procurement, or to justify a huge standing military with hundreds of bases around the world, or to pick fights with to allow a president down in the polls to morph into a war leader.

A lot of people had a lot of power and money in play that demanded some real bad guys. An attempt was made in the 1980s to make narco-lords the new major threat, but they were too few in number to sustain the meme, and too many American loved their dope. Following 9/11, the bad guys were “the terrorists.” The Bush gangsters anointed Saddam a WMD threat and christened Iran and North Korea as part of an Axis of Evil.

The Iraq War was ultimately very unpopular, and is never-ending. Meh. Bin Laden never launched a second attack on the U.S., and the Taliban had no poster child leader like him to snarl at for 15 years. Iran and North Korea just make a lot of noise. The United States made an effort to label others — Gaddafi, Assad, Islamic State — global enemies worthy of perpetual war, but the Middle East in general has turned into a quagmire we all want to really wake up sober from.

Washington really needs an Arch Enemy, a guy who looks like a Bond villain with nuclear weapons he’ll brandish but never use.

Americans are already well-prepared by the old Cold War to see Russia as an evil empire, and Putin does look the part. A new Cold War will require America to buy more military hardware, plus discover new places like the Baltic states to garrison. It might even straighten out a NATO confused about its role regarding global terrorism.

Forget Trump and Clinton; Putin is the political-military-industrial complex dream candidate.

William Binney, the former NSA employee turned whistleblower, says that the hacker was from the NSA, not Russia. A kind of “get even” on Clinton for her misuse of emails, which resulted in blowing the covers of some intelligence agents, and because of her actions in Libya.

He also points out that the White House has not rebuked Russia over the supposed Russian hacking of the DNC, nor has there been any official confirmation whatsoever about that theory. (Despite what Hillary asserts in interviews.)

I believe our host here, PVB, predicted some covert blowback would be coming from the FBI, NSA, et al over the FBI non-indictment of Clinton.

A top CIA fellow just endorsed Hillary today in the NYTimes and stated that he was with Bush when 9/11 went down. Bush as we were told was cluelessly reading MY PET GOAT to toddlers when the attacks occured. You’d think a CIA guy wouldn’t want that fact to be known but then again CIA types rarely think things through.

Think about all the money that can be made on a civil war on the states to garrison. Mein Fuehrer Trump would round-up the bloggers first.

Bauer: Stewart and Colbert would be safe in Trump’s court. All Jesters work for the king. They were always double agents.

Chuck -Nuland might want to host a private party for the party faithful where a hologram of Prince will be the main attraction. Guests are asked to wear purple. Karsai will be there in his native garb. Beyonce the harlot for empire will be there but solo. Colbert will be the MC.

      Our State Department:

      from an article:

Mark Toner, the deputy spokesman for the US State Department, literally burst out laughing at the idea of transparency and democracy during an official press briefing on Thursday.

“Welcome to the State Department,” began Toner. “I think we have some interns in the back. Welcome.

“Good to see you in this exercise in transparency and democracy,” said the spokesperson, before he and the whole room erupted into a fit of laughter.

“Is that what it is?” asked one reporter. “I thought it was an exercise in spin and obfuscation.”

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to break out in laughter,” added Toner after he eventually regained his composure….

      Video of Toner laughing:

Toner chose the gig and stays with the gig knowing he has to lie for empire. I only saw him correct himself once a year ago when he said he “misspoke” which meant he admitted he had lied. Poor guy, you’ll find him in any of the DC bars totally wasted after doing his shift for empire.

Talk about dream candidates, some have suggested Donald Trump is copying the playbook of the Zero Mostel character in “The Producers” to scam some cash out in a deliberate attempt to fail. Like the banks, they are giving Trump way too much credit. The guy is really an idiot, and his style of play is more akin to the Peter Seller’s Chauncey Gardener character in “Being There.” He just likes to watch TV:

Like all Army officers Khisr Kahn’s son took an oath to defend the US Constitution. His Arlington headstone says he died while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. I fail to see a logical connection President Obama probably considers my failure an act of treason or even espionage.

Will Obama’s girls enlist in the Military? Have Military recruiters set up a table at the school they go to? They could be Drone operators at Creech.
