1In the film IN THE VALLEY OF ELAH a young American warrior becomes a sadist after running over an Iraqi boy in his Humvee. In Biblical folklore the boy David beheads Goliath while the giant was still semi conscious. David grows up to become a heartless king of the Israelites and Mike in ELAH comes home to seek annihilation at the hands of his warrior buddies. Two different responses to traumatic war experiences.
