• What I Miss the Most About Pre-9/11 America

My condo surveils the hallways. The city’s facial-recognition cameras are on every corner, tied to license-plate readers, tied to our digital lives. Vast databases assure us no detail—no one—is too small to monitor.

I learn to follow orders at the airport. After becoming an Iraq War whistleblower, I was placed on the SSSS list and sent to secondary screening every time I flew. I never knew who put me there or why. The agents searching me didn’t know either. They were following orders. An algorithm tagged me for something I had no idea I’d done.

People once said, “If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear.” Older people still joke about it. My kids don’t know the joke. They grew up assuming this way of life is simply part of life.

That’s what we’ve lost, and what I miss most about pre-9/11 America.

Not much has changed. We had an idiot Prezidunce in 2001 who ignored the AQ alarms coming from people like John O Neill, and we have an idiot Prezidunce who ignored the alarms coming from everyone who said he was an idiot for attacking Iran.

      Claude is watching you

Iran has used Claude the AI software to collect information that included a list of U.S. service members it had sourced from public military photographs, ship and aircraft transponders — which broadcast a specific code that identifies them — commercial satellite-imagery query scripts that help locate exact geographic visuals, and a breakdown of public websites that track U.S. Navy movements.

The Iranians also used Claude to learn more about weaknesses in U.S. Navy shipboard systems that could be exploited.

Prezidunce Don downplayed concerns about the catastrophic risks of artificial intelligence raised this week by some AI researchers, saying late Thursday he was focused instead on the U.S. losing its edge in the tech arms race. Asked whether he has concerns about existential risks posed by AI, the president said, “No, I don’t have any.

What were the feds looking for in Peter’s bags?

Surprised they didn’t “find” child porn. That is the SOP for feds to discredit threats.

What the FLOCK is wrong with US?

Donnie Dementia has been strangely silent about the Deep State spying on US. DD also says AI is perfectly safe. If Joe Biden was Prez, DD would be screaming about the Deep State. Of course, the voters have greater concerns…like inflation. Today’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) report shows prices rose 0.4% in August and are up 3.4% over the past year. Core prices, which exclude food and energy, rose 0.3% in August alone. Gas prices reached their highest ever recorded for August, and the pressure has not let up, climbing $4.29 per gallon, up 14 cents since hitting a Labor Day record. Diesel surged past $6 per gallon for the first time ever, up more than 70 cents from a month ago, which will show up on grocery store shelves for months to come as it costs more and more to transport essentials.

Rather than address the pain families are feeling at the grocery store and the gas pump, Dimwit this week floated an absurd rebate program, promising checks sent directly to Americans if his party is successful in the midterm elections – after promising 15 similar payments that never materialized during his second term. Under D’s watch, wage growth has slowed to its lowest point since 2021, while inflation has shot up and shows no signs of easing.

Pay no attention to the Big Brother Military Industrial Surveillance Complex

Peter should examine the federal government’s involvement in the 9-11 epic fiasco and the Anthrax Terrorist Letters that created the Big Brother PATRIOT haha Act surveillance push. A case can be made that mostly incompetence resulted in the government’s failure to prevent 9-11 or investigate the real terrorists working for the government who were responsible for the Anthrax attack. But Why are so many willing to take the government’s word when the MIC surveillance push justify their meanness?

End Times for MAGA- are MAGA getting to the end?

MAGA is convinced Israel is the place their lord was crucified. Since MAGA and Trump apparently believe Trump is their lord, the midterms could mark the End Times of the MAGA movement. Latest polls indicate the Trump- Israel War is killing Repug chances. If Trump is facing his End Times, will he pull a Greg Stillson and take the rest of US into the Dead Zone?
